● How long have you been in business?
I launched A Honu Space in 2019, but my roots in organizing go back much further. With over 20 years working in office management, executive support, and hospitality, I’ve built a strong foundation in service, structure, and creating peaceful, well-organized spaces that truly support people’s lives.
● What are your operating hours?
Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Weekends and holidays are available for an additional fee upon request.
● Do you bring the necessary supplies, or do I purchase them separately?
Labeling materials, measuring tools, and trash bags are provided. Additional supplies are purchased only with client approval at no extra markup, and any shopping is billed at the hourly rate.
● Do you arrange for donations, consignments, and trash removal?
Yes, I can arrange donations, consignments, and trash removal, working with over a dozen organizations to redistribute items throughout the community. Additionally, I offer a reference sheet that outlines all available options.
● Do you have advertising on your car?
Yes, I have removable door magnets for advertising. They can be removed upon request.
● Do you take photographs on my property?
Yes, I take photographs for illustrative or promotional purposes, but client information is kept confidential and not released without authorization. There is a Photo Release clause in the contract.
● What are your rates for Organizing Services? Rates start at $375 for a 4 hour session. Additional charges may apply for travel beyond Wailuku, Kahului, Kihei, Pukalani, at $25 per trip.
All fees are subject to Hawaiʻi General Excise Tax.
● How long is a typical organizing session?
A standard session lasts 4 hours, as most clients reach a point of fatigue by then. I also offer a free initial phone consultation to discuss the scope of work.
● How do you handle sentimental items during the organizing process?
I provide guidance to help you make decisions, understanding that letting go of items is a personal process. I have successfully completed over 100 hours of Co-Active Coaching. I do not dispose of any items without explicit permission.
Kūpuna Concierge FAQs
● What is the Kūpuna Concierge Service?
The Kūpuna Concierge Service offers personalized assistance to seniors, helping with daily tasks, errands, appointment scheduling, and support to maintain independence and comfort at home.
● What are your rates for Kūpuna Concierge Services? Subscription Plan:
$799 per month (or $699/month for clients in Wailuku, Kahului, Pāʻia, Pukalani, or Kihei), includes up to 10 hours of flexible support per month (Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM). Services may include in-home visits, errands, case coordination, organizing, and more. Additional hours are $60/hr during standard hours. Requests outside of standard hours may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis at $75/hr.
Pay As You Go:
$75/hr (Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM), 2-hour minimum. $85/hr outside standard hours.
All fees are subject to a 4.712% general excise tax.
● Do you offer one time or project based services?
Yes. For families who do not need ongoing support, I offer flat-rate project-based services. These are great for needs like finding transportation, researching resources, or coordinating one-time tasks. Pricing starts at $125 per project, and includes research, communication, and delivery of a complete resource or solution.
Project-based services are subject to availability. Ongoing subscription clients receive priority scheduling.
● Do you provide transportation for clients?
No, transportation for clients is not provided. However, I can assist with shopping, meeting at designated places, and running errands.
● Can you help with meal preparation or light housekeeping?
Yes, I can assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and other daily tasks.
● How do you ensure the safety and wellbeing of seniors using your service? I provide ongoing training in senior care and maintain open communication with clients and their families to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
● Do you provide medical or personal care services?
No, I do not provide medical care or personal care services such as ADLʻs (Activities of Daily Living) or hospice care. I focus on nonmedical support, and I can help connect you with appropriate healthcare providers if needed.
● What types of errands can you help with?
I can assist with various errands, including grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, dropping off or picking up laundry, and other personal tasks as needed.
● Can you accompany seniors to medical appointments?
Yes, I can accompany seniors to their medical appointments, assist with check-in procedures, and take notes during the appointment to relay information to family members if requested.
● How do you handle emergencies?
While I am not a medical professional, I am trained to recognize signs of emergencies and will call 911 or the appropriate emergency services immediately. I also keep emergency contact information on hand to notify family members.
● Is there a minimum commitment required for Kūpuna Concierge Services?
No, there is no long-term commitment required. You can use our services as needed, but we do offer a subscription plan that provides a discounted hourly rate.
● How do you ensure the confidentiality of my information?
All client information is kept strictly confidential. I provide and maintain secure records in a binder on site in the home and communicate directly with clients or their authorized family members.
● What makes your service different from a home health aide?
My service focuses on non-medical assistance, such as organizing, running errands, scheduling appointments, and providing companionship. I do not provide personal care or medical services, but I can coordinate with healthcare providers as needed.
● Do you provide companionship services?
Yes, I provide companionship services, including engaging activities such as reading, conversation, playing games, taking walks, and writing letters or cards to support the mental and emotional well-being of seniors.

Rates start at $300 for a basic package. Additional services, such as document retrieval, or notarization, can be added for an extra fee.

Yes, I can help you organize information regarding your digital assets, such as online banking, social media accounts, and subscriptions, and provide guidance on how to manage these accounts after passing.
● What if my information changes after I’ve created my Final Affairs File?
You can update your Final Affairs File at any time. It is important to annually review to keep your information current, or you can contact me anytime for updates.
● How long does it take to complete the Final Affairs File?
The time required to complete the Final Affairs File depends on the complexity of your needs and the availability of your documents. On average, it takes 3-6 hours over a few sessions to fully organize the file.
● Can my family access the Final Affairs File in an emergency?
Yes, you have possession of the Final Affairs File, I encourage clients to inform their family members of the location. You can also choose to have duplicate copies or digitized for additional fees.
● How are my documents kept safe and secure with the Final Affairs File service?
Your documents are organized and stored in a secure, waterproof box. As the client, you are responsible for the security and safekeeping of the physical documents.
